"Fajã Surf Labs" and "ShaperLab" are trade names of Sculpted Chronicles, Lda. They are not separate legal entities.

What we do

Hand-shaped and CNC-cut custom surfboards, surfboard repairs, shaping workshops and the ShaperLab Pro software, all from our lab in São Vicente, Madeira. Orders and quotes are agreed by WhatsApp; this website takes no payments and holds no customer accounts.

Complaints book (Livro de Reclamações)

As a business serving consumers in Portugal we keep a complaints book. You can make a complaint online at the official electronic complaints book: www.livroreclamacoes.pt. The physical book is available at our lab.

Alternative dispute resolution

If you are a consumer and we cannot settle a disagreement between us, you may turn to an alternative dispute resolution body (Lei n.º 144/2015). The body competent for our region is the Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo da Região Autónoma da Madeira (CACC RAM), Rua Direita, n.º 27 – 1.º Esq., 9050-450 Funchal · +351 291 147 115 · madeira.gov.pt/cacc. Content and intellectual property

The text, photographs, videos, board designs, the board data behind the configurator and the free tools, and the ShaperLab name and software are the property of Sculpted Chronicles, Lda or used with permission. You may use the free tools and quote this site for personal, non-commercial purposes; any other use needs our written permission. Third-party names (surf brands, fin systems, blank makers) belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

No warranty on the free tools

The volume calculator, board finder, configurator and ShaperLab Lite give estimates computed from generic board models. They are provided "as is" for information. The real dimensions and volume of a board we build for you are the ones measured in the lab and confirmed in your quote.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA) on servers in the European Union where available. See the Privacy policy for what that means for your data.

Law and courts

Portuguese law applies. For disputes with consumers the courts of the consumer's residence are competent, as the law provides; otherwise the courts of Funchal.
