- Medium rocker: about 4 7/8" in the nose, 2 1/8" in the tail.

Where do the numbers come from?+
From the rules our shapers use to take an order: litres per kilo by level, adjusted for fitness, age and the power of your waves; a length from your height (or your weight, for longer boards); then width and thickness solved from that volume inside the normal range of each shape. They are shapers’ consensus and volume-guide rules of thumb, the same ones inside our ShaperLab Pro software — not a measurement of you on a wave.
How much should I trust it?+
The volume and the three dimensions are a solid starting point that most shapers would land close to. Rocker, bottom, rails, tail and fins are guidance that your shaper refines with you — surfing style, your spot and the board you are coming from all move them.
I surf different waves in summer and winter.+
Run it twice. Many surfers end up with two boards from this tool: a small-wave board and a step-up or performance board for the good days.
